Alberta Health Services has been hit by major technology issues and people have taken to social media to express their frustration with AHS for the outages.
The tweet announcing the issues dropped just after 9 a.m. Monday morning saying the issues were province-wide and impacting services like 8-1-1 Health Link.
We are currently experiencing a province-wide network outage which is impacting some services. 8-1-1 Health Link cannot receive calls at this time. If you have an emergency, dial 9-1-1.
We are working to restore service and will provide updates as soon as possible.

The AHS outages lasted for most of Monday, with many on Twitter expressing how important it really was.
It was a BIG DEAL today. Like a really big deal. Biggest and longest unplanned outage I’ve seen in 15 years of working there. It affected almost everything throughout AHS and APL. https://t.co/lNtVxJ84Ta

Of course, when something like this happens, the frontline workers are the ones who have to bear the brunt of the burden. Some people made sure to give them credit for working on it on Monday.
Aaaaaand, it’s cancelled. Try again next time? #effff #prepistheworst #absent #ableg #eat The nurses were so great, I felt so bad they couldn’t do their job because of it #AHSOOutage https://t.co/TvYOYVshV9
