But in Canada, this is not the reality for many people.

For people living in remote or low-income areas, simply accessing the Internet is either too slow, too expensive, or unavailable.

Jessica Mundie, recipient of the 2022 Michelle Lang Journalism Fellowship, joins the show to explain why it is so difficult for some Canadians to access the internet, who is most affected and what the federal government is doing to try to remedy the problem.
