Enterprise conversational artificial intelligence developer Gupshup has launched a new tool to produce chatbots powered by OpenAI’s GPT-3 large language model (LLM). The new Auto Bot Builder platform applies GPT-3 and refined proprietary data to generate a chatbot as powerful as ChatGPT but geared around a specific business and its needs.

Gupshup’s AI communication platform already connects AI assistants through its API to over 100,000 businesses and developers across 30 channels. The new service augments this conversational AI setup with the GPT-3 interface. Unlike ChatGPT, the Auto Bot platform allows for specialized knowledge databases. Gupshup has already created industry-specific variations of the model with domain expertise that businesses can then supplement with their proprietary business knowledge to make the chatbot uniquely suited to their business. The AI can then be deployed on the same mobile and web communication services, including Gupshup’s Gupshup IP (GIP) messaging channel. Essentially, this makes the chatbots already operated by businesses more powerful and efficient at interacting with customers.

“GPT-3 represents a massive improvement in language and conversational capabilities. We are excited to help companies harness the power of LLMs to improve their customer experience,” said Gupshup CEO Beerud Sheth. He added, “ Gupshup is always among the first to bring the latest technologies to businesses, and we are happy to launch Auto Bot Builder. This is just the start of a new wave of innovation, and we plan to roll out more advanced capabilities soon. .

Enterprise GPT-3

Gupshup’s move to GPT-3 follows its rapid expansion over the past few years. The company acquired startups focused on conversational AI for e-commerce and retail, finance, and cloud communications, among other verticals after raising $340 million in 2021. The move aligns with the move. interest in applying generative AI chatbots like those created with GPT-3 for enterprise purposes. This is partly why Microsoft is investing even more billions in OpenAI and expanding its presence on the Azure platform and why Jasper has already released a chatbot version of its generative AI engine. It also adds a new twist to the story of enterprise conversational AI that has sparked so much investment for startups like PolyAI and Aisera. The question is whether GPT-3 or some version of generative AI will be an expected part of future AI chatbots and phone assistants, in the same way that a form of conversational AI has become a standard feature for business services.
