CARROLLTON – The Greene County Agricultural Bureau is hosting a panel discussion on broadband internet in February.

The panel will feature an informative discussion of the Greene County Economic Development Group’s efforts to bring high-speed Internet to rural residents of the county. Representatives of the group and of Frontier Internet, which would provide the fiber optic connections, will be available to answer questions.

A survey by the economic development group found that 68% of residents had internet download speeds below the federal minimum, with 4% saying they had no internet connection.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Feb. 23 at Knights of Columbus Hall, 603 S. Fifth St.
