Dragon Quest Dai's Adventure: A Hero's Bonds

A life that doesn’t end is not a life worth living, and maybe the same could be said for…adventure? Turns out the real rewards were the links we made along the way, which is good news as the service is about to end for the Dragon Quest Dai’s Adventure: A Hero’s Bonds mobile game.

According to an end-of-service notice on the official website, Bonds of a Hero will close on April 26, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. PT.

The announcement includes an end-of-service roadmap, which begins with the end of Red Gem sales on January 25 – all previously purchased Red Gems players can be used until the end of service – and also includes the end of item pack sales and Gold Pass sales on the same day.

On January 29, automatic Gold Pass renewals will be disabled. You can read more about the timeline on the website and check out the rest of the end-of-service announcement below.

We, the development team, would like to apologize to all of our players for the sudden nature of this news.

Since the game launched on 2021/9/27, our goal has always been to provide our players with the most satisfying and varied experience possible. However, following discussions about the challenges and practicalities of providing this same standard in the future, we have made the very difficult decision to end the service.

We would like to sincerely thank all of our players for your feedback and support so far.

You can currently stream the Dragon Quest: Dai’s Adventure anime on Crunchyroll, which describes the series as follows:

The world once afflicted by Hadlar, the Dark Lord, has found peace at the hands of a swordsman called the “Hero” and his companions. Delmurin Island became a place where monsters freed from the Dark Lord lived.

Dai, who is the only human on the island and aspires to be a hero, lives in peace with the monsters. However, this life changes completely with the resurrection of the Dark Lord Hadlar. With promises of teachers, meetings between friends and a destiny that cannot be escaped… In order to save the world, Dai’s adventure and his quest for heroes begin!
