Special interest content and platform company Immediate Media has announced the appointment of Cath Waller as Chief Advertising Officer.

Waller will have overall responsibility for Immediate’s entire sales team, across sales, creative and content, social media, AdTech, Planops, business data and Insight. , and will report to Immediate Platforms CEO Sean Cornwell.

Waller has held senior sales positions for nearly 20 years and has worked at Immediate since its inception in 2011, most recently as Content Studio Commercial Director for Immediate Imagine, which she launched in 2016. Under her management, Imagine has established its reputation as one of the industry’s leading in-house studios, winning numerous awards and growing revenue significantly year over year.

“Cath is a passionate and energetic business leader with excellent strategic and creative skills, and is highly respected both within the immediate industry and across the industry,” Cornwell said. “She has a proven track record of building, developing and motivating high performing teams in both digital and print. Following Waller’s appointment as Chief Advertising Officer, Beth Shirazi, Director of Partnerships, will lead the Imagine Partnerships team, working closely with Rob Hunt who assumes the role of Director of Creative Partnerships, focusing on driving creative innovation within the team. Jonathan Bown, Director of Business Content, will lead Immediate’s Imagine studio, providing all of Immediate’s business content.
